Why Why Why

When, when I know how badly donuts make me feel, do i feel COMPELLED to eat one—or two!—every production day (once a week) when our exec managing editor brings in THREE boxes of them!!!! On his own dime, bless his heart! And then of course, he does not eat a single one.

I eat it, it's not that good, I feel bad.

Next week? I do it again.

It's inexplicable. Someone, please explain it to me.

(No, no not Aruba. Come on people! Next hint: The person I am visiting is an RBF member.)

Donuts are secretly made with cocaine. As are McDonald's hamburgers, french fries, pizza, and bad chocolate. None of them taste very good but all compel overeating. Its a conspiracy. I'll be back, I have to make a donut run.

Hmm.. Hmmm.. There is a blogger who will run for donuts. You might want to get some feedback on this guy who will do anything to get donuts. Check his blogsite at:

You are going to visit AJ.

You think the donuts are sweet and delicious. You do it for the sin factor. You do it because they are there and normally you are nowhere near a donut so if they are there you must eat them. That's the real reason.

Just remember that you can have a donut any time you want one. There are always places in cities that stay open all night that have donuts. They are open on holidays, too. 7-11 springs to mind. A donut is just a couple blocks away so when the donust show up in the office don't be seduced by that 'now or never' feeling. It's a LIE!

You eat a donut because you are looking for that thrill you had when you were little and tasted a donut for the first time. It will never taste that good again. Don't eat another donut, ever. If it's not part of your daily nutrition, don't eat it unless it's absolutely guaranteed to be great...and thrilling...like when you were little.

Donuts are excuse rings for slow running/swimming/biking times. Donuts: always the scapegoats.

Golly, I almost hate to leave a comment because as Ted said, "I'll run for donuts" and this doesn't look like a donut-friendly bunch. I belong to the office donut club, but only have one if I've put in a minimum amount of mileage that week. I don't eat just "any" donuts; if people bring Krispy Kremes, I just pass for that week. Just because I put in the miles doesn't mean I'm going to eat ho-hum donuts. I say if you feel like one, go for it.

Is there a particular colour that entices you (are we talking iced doughnuts?)

Donuts are good. The better question is why do the things that are the worst for you taste the best. I mean come on the list is endless.

don't feel bad. donuts are (mental) health food! and calorie/fat content-wize, sometimes eating a chocolate donut is better than eating an egg mcMuffin! right? right?
