More Cherry Blossom

I was apparently breathing fire here. Some important building is behind me. And yes, I know it LOOKS like there's loads of room around me, but it's just a trick of the camera.

Frontal view.

Side view, courtesy Number One Daughter. Sweat? Priceless.

NOD and me. I always look so happy AFTER a race.

For some really spectacular photos, check out D.C. Rainmaker's post.

Dang..those are some sweet huge-ass proofs. Why can't all races give solid proofs that size? The one of you finishing is actually pretty good (I say actually cause all my race photos generally suck). Nicely done!

Wow... what a GREAT finish photo! If only it was closer in on you... your pose is classic. Congrats again.

In that 4th photo your legs look like sticks. Endurance runner legs, I'm saying!!

Nice pix! I think that's the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in the first picture. Should've stopped for some free samples.

I like those pics - especially the fire breathing one.

The pics on DCR's blog make it pretty clear you were elbow to elbow.

Well done!

Hi Jeanne - sorry for missing all the news. I'm still off the blogs and just started running this week. Just wanted to drop a note to say I'll be in your neck of the woods this weekend at a volleyball tournament in Baltimore with my daughter. I'm hanging out her and her buddies Monday in DC. Didn't want you to be surprised if you saw me :-). Wish we could meet up but between the tournament and chaperoning her, I don't think it'll work out. Hope all it is well with you.

That smile has PR written all over it. And who says, 'Never let 'em see you sweat?' Hell, yeah!

This race used to be a favorite of mine, then the lottery came along....howls of protests and a lone howl from one Virginian who just was upset she and her sister didn't get in.

Happy to be done I'll bet! Nice pics. Glad to see there is actually somewhere with spring flowers growing.
