Suntrust National Half Marathon Photos

Well, they did take a lot of photos, I'll give 'em that. Even though not a single one of them would ever clue you in that I was running in Washington, D.C., where it's hard to take a photo WITHOUT a monument in it.

Though I might not be at my happy weight, I sure do look happy in these photos. So, I'm putting it all out there, no excuses, no berating myself. Enjoy!

(This is the face of a happy runner.)

(5544 dogged me for most of the race)

(Digging deep, probably mile 4.)

(Am I running? Or looking for a dance partner?

(Coming up from the underpass under Dupont Circle (I think); the start of the biggest hill.)

(Wait! Let me get into position first! Or into first position!)

(I AM TOO RUNNING!)

WOO HOO!! Go Jeanne! I don't think I've ever gotten more than 2-3 photos on race day. Looks like they were doing a great job out on the course. :-)

Plenty of nice photos. You really look happy. Whoever said you're not born to run?

My but you DO look happy. Are you supposed to look that happy when running 13.1 miles? You make it look easy!

I love them! Wow -- what great shots.

Hey -- maybe a race IS the place to find a dance partner. :)

You look wonderful, Miss Mile Long Legs! :)

You look great. Isn't it wonderful to both run well and look good? I always hope for one or the other. :)

It's amazing how you always know where the camera is and can smile and look so good.

GORGEOUS!! Do you smile the entire race or just for the camera? That hill at DuPont Circle looks like they sould have thrown you a rope! What a steep hill!! Very inspiring!

I think you need to move to Florida or California. Check the map ...

Hey, that's the Canadian Embassy! At least you got a landmark! And smiles!!

Me, I think they shot just grumpy mad in-pain photos in front of junkyards and vacant lots and cyclone fencing. Very attractive scowls, too. Of course, it probably would have been hard to find a shot of me when I wasn't scowling that day....

How awesome! You look just fine, of course, and the fact that you can run that distance is the most impressive thing of all. :)

You look like a McCain supporter with a spelling disorder ...

The 5544 disappears in the other pics. Did you do the right thing? Did you kill her? Yes, you look happy and relaxed, congrats.

More Half Marathon: 2:27:34, 11:15
Hampton Half: 2:25:31, 11:06
I felt 10x better today? Maybe the crowd slowed me down for the first two miles. Ah, well, it all about the running not the time, right?

eileen: and that's what you get with zero training?!?! Congrats! I should try your plan!

Nice job! You make it look fun! I can't remember ever running 13 miles -- at least not since high school so I am impressed.
