Inauguration Days

Some shots from the concert, Sunday, Jan. 19, 2009. We managed to worm our way to the front. If you were claustrophobic, you would not have lasted a minute.

Camouflaged hummers in the streets of Washington. Very weird.

The line went this way and then back on itself a few times. Luckily I knew a back entrance. Thanks, running!

Could I just please squeeze in here??

It's freakin' cold.

We squeeze good.

There was a problem with the sound, leading to widespread panic.

Awesome

The Rising. We all cried.

Stevie sings Higher Ground. We are rockin'!

See? Rockin'

MY BOYFRIEND!!!! (That would be Bono), singing PRIDE. More crying.

and believe it or not, there are more!

Very cool pictures. You're right about the crowds... I'm super claustrophobic and just looking at those photos makes me want to cry!

Who's Bono? Sonny Bono? Didn't he tragically ski into a tree and die awhile back? He couldn't have been there. The Beat Goes On.

Thanks to share the photos. I could only watch the concert in Tv. When will you marry Bono?

So at first glance, it looks like the hummer tried to camoflauge itself with tree branches, ala Bugs Bunny...

Is that the 21C Mom squeezing in with you? How special to be present at that inauguration! Good for you for braving the cold and the crowds.

Where are the pictures of the ball, Cinderella?

I find the absence of 90 inches of snow to be an alien sight. Personally, I would not have been able to stand being out in the cold that long with that many people!

Nice dress, hair, skin-show and fireplace. Pretty spiffed up there for the big par-tay.

Uh ... and the intervals are supposed to be really close in times; not fast to slow.
