Who Me, Slow?

Me, Heathrow Airport, Dec. 3, 2006, trying to contain my excitement at going home.

In other news:

My no sugar plan is going swimmingly. Well, except for the part where I pretty much want to kill everyone all the time. I could use some work with that part of the plan.

In other other news, I thought I'd share some more photos (to distract you from the general lack of running news) which I am calling the Evolution of Jeanne:

July 4, 2006.

Happy return from Sevilla, Number One Daughter! Dec. 21, 2006.

Company Christmas Party photo booth, Dec. 2006. Who knew I had it in me?

Dec. 23, Kennedy Center Concert.

It's entirely possible that I am losing weight. I refuse to write it, in case I jinx the whole thing.

So, just to balance out the yang from the yin, let's post this one from Christmas morning:

Keeping it real. Someone needs a new nightie.

Definitely losing weight. And years. Just goes to show, running keeps you young.

Jeanne, I'm surprised no one told you but anyone attempting to give up sugar is permitted to kill and/or maim up to three people during the first 60 days of abstinence. Choose your weapons and happy hunting! (This offer void where prohibited by law.)

And yes, you're losing weight and yes, please get a new nightgown.

2 words: Victoria's Secret.

Show off that sugar-free masterpiece!

Yay, NODs home! And looking none the worse for wear. Good job on the no sugar. I'm up to 16 days (!), although Christmas Eve dinner at the marvelous Cosmo's restaurant was a close call. It's hard to resist a gourmet dessert. I don't have much energy, which I'm blaming on the lack of chocolate. However, my disposition is fine--just ask my husband. Wait, let me remove that sock from his mouth...

Nice! You are onen brave woman for posting that last picture. How about you ENJOY you-know-what (I'm not going to say it and create a jinx sitchyashun).

Are those sugar-free pies coming out of the oven?

Fabulous evolution! Keep 'em coming! I posted a similar evolution on my blog last night (well, OK, it's very different, but an evolution nonetheless).

What ARE those things in the oven? I WANT ONE!

Looks like you could use a new stove, too. That one looks like mine, circa 1962. :-)

NOD is BEAUTIFUL. And so are you.

That last photo made me laugh though because as I sit here typing this I am wearing my GRANDMA's flannel nightgown. I am not sure that I am as brave as you to post it though. Humm?
I was thinking the same thing...
"someone needs a new nightie"

Happy New Year!

MMMMmmmm, Dutch Babies! Been hearing about 'em, gonna make some! Nancy steered me to your blog so I could see a picture of some. Congratulations on your weight loss and sugar abstinence!

What you are taking out of the oven in the last picture looks very much like the oven pancakes I make for my daughters. Running does a body good.

Maybe I shouold give up sugar... hang on, wine is made of sugar, oh dear...
You are becoming more of a hottie all the time :)
(but do get a new nightie)
BTW it took 2 weeks of very disciplined mince pie eating to gain the weight, you need have no worries whatsoever.

Any woman that can be comfy within herself to wear a shiny green sleeveless top AND be seen in a flannel nitegown is someone I want to keep on my friends list!!

Real women rock!!

You might be feeling like you're ready to kill, but you LOOK beautiful and happy. I've not been as successful, but I'm trying. Keep up the good work for both of us, ok? Enjoy NOD, too.

And please let me know when your b-day is so I can send you a super hot set of PJs!! You are too hot of a momma to wear that nightgown!
