Newly 21-year-old Number One Daughter with New (1996) Shiny Happy First Car of Her Own:
(Givin' some car love. Her comment? "I never expected to own a car of my own." I raised her right!)
(Honda Civic Ex, since you asked.)
And now, on to the main event!
Remember this?
And who could forget this?
Or this?
After being without a bathroom for oh, six weeks or so, I finally got this (2/3 paid for by absentee upstairs landlord):
(Finally! Serenity now!)
(This one's for Thomas; he likes stars.)
(Look! Our first Real Toilet Paper Holder!)
It's all good. Well, except for the part where they removed the only outlet in the bathroom and replaced it. With nothing. Good thing I air dry my hair.
I've never had a pretty bathroom before! I might just move in there.

It looks lovely. I still think you need to extract the other 1/3 out of stupid upstairs guy but I know you won't!
And oooph! on that electrical problem. I would actually ask them to come fix that and put in a GFI because that's necessary, not optional.
Congratulations to NOD! And what a lovely new bathroom you have. No electrical outlet? How do you charge your electric toothbrush? ;-)
Beautiful daughter, beautiful bathroom!
Oooooooooooooooooooooooh!
now pamper yourself cos you deserve it
whoa!! love the new flooring!! <3
NOD looks very pleased!! yay for first cars!
Yeah for everyone!!!! The bathroom and NOD look great!!
Happy birthday NOD! and congrats on your new bathroom, it looks pretty!
New car-i-tis. Nice. Did you put a tiny ding in it to get over your mortal fear of blemishing it yet? For that matter, did you make a tiny nick in the wall of your new BR yet so you can start to fully enjoy it w/o obsessing over its lack of perfection like HAVING NO PLUGS?
Can I hang out in your bathroom for a few hours? Looks so peaceful...
Congrats to you on finally having a fixed throne room:-)
Good God, if your daughters meet, mine's going to ask where her "new" car is. The bathroom is beautiful. Every commode should have good thoughts shining down on it.
How could they eliminate a plug? That's ree-dick-ah-lus as Curly used to say.
Ooooh, me likey! Both the car and the bathroom. But esp. the bathroom - looks really nice and calm. Lovely!
But what about the outlet?
Nice bathroom, love the stars. And you know what? Your daughter's car is 4 years younger than mine!
Well happy birthday to your daughter too! And the bathroom looks nice! Congrats on getting that done. The old one actually reminded me of one of my old bathrooms. But instead of a hole in the ceiling, there was one in the floor. Yeah, watch your step!
I'm 21 and I never expect to own a car in my life.
Are you still coming to town this week?
Jeanne, it's all lovely - your daughter, her car and your beautiful bathroom. I'd need some outlets though - air drying my hair only results in poofiness.
Hiya Jeanne - So, just have them add an outlet back in, what's the big deal? Love, Dan
