Congratulations on getting in. There used to be a time when you didn't have to "race" against the clock just to get a number, but those times are over, I suppose. If I weren't doing Chicago this fall, I'd join you. Done MCM twice and really love it, even Haines Point.

Is it true that some marines propel down from a helicopter at the start of the race and then run in full gear? That's the rumor I heard. Crazy, crazy, crazy! (oh and sexy)

m: it IS true! I forget what they are called but they parachute down at the start. I don't know if they are the ones who then run in full gear, but many marines do...some carrying flags the whole way. Not that i saw any of that, i was so far back...
