Please - find one and get a program for recovery. You won't regret it! Winging it by trying this and trying that and seeing if it hurts is okay but if it does hurt than that will set you back. Better to have a trained professional assess your injury and tell you what will help you recover quickly. Call a Sports Medicine outfit or just call PTs until you find one who specializes in sports injuries.21st Century Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17387240994756123669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13425555.post-1126210998887450742005-09-08T16:23:00.000-04:002005-09-08T16:23:00.000-04:00Who needs a doctor? It is better to miss a few training runs than run, make it worse and be out for 6 weeks. If you are really frustrated you could try pool running (has to be done in the deep end), it will keep your cardio up. You could also see a massage therapist who specializes in runners.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13425555.post-1126194544301067762005-09-08T11:49:00.000-04:002005-09-08T11:49:00.000-04:00Gah. But it sounds like you have a responsive program rep, so I'd probably send a follow-up email with all your questions re: when to start again and whether to see a doc.Noameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13750637766017134621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13425555.post-1126191395494330482005-09-08T10:56:00.000-04:002005-09-08T10:56:00.000-04:00I totally feel your pain. So unfortunately, I can't help much with advice. But I can give moral support! (For what it's worth.)

So, do what you gotta do, and take some time off. I totally know how hard that is. But with a little rest hopefully you'll feel better, and get back into it. I spent yesterday reorganizing my training schedule to account for this slowdown. When it's time for the next long run, you'll be ready.Larahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17425944406318569783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13425555.post-1126177860449217692005-09-08T07:11:00.000-04:002005-09-08T07:11:00.000-04:00I think that we dismiss rest days and time off as ...I think that we dismiss rest days and time off as an unproductive part of our training, but surely they must be just as critical to our bodies as our training days. I am often quick to sneak in an extra workout here or there, so surely logic would follow that some extra rest and recovery time would be just a good for you mentally and physically. I am sure this will all work out for you. Stay positive and use this temporary break as a critical part of your training. Wishing you the best. Take care.Hutchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06347166086865725634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13425555.post-1126174853193147572005-09-08T06:20:00.000-04:002005-09-08T06:20:00.000-04:00Does indeed suck, but you'll be better for it!
